Alphabet Inc's Google stated Tuesday that it plans to work with China's Huawei over the subsequent 90 days, rapidly after the U.S. Briefly eased a few alternate regulations on the world's 2nd-biggest smartphone maker.

The flow marks a surprising and dramatic turnabout for the U.S. Tech conglomerate. On Sunday, Google stated it would cut ties with Huawei with a view to observe Washington's decision to position China's telecom massive at the so-known as Entity List.

On Monday, the U.S. Commerce Department introduced it had granted a 90-day license for cell phone groups and internet broadband vendors to paintings with Huawei to hold present networks online and guard users from protection dangers.

The exemption permits Google to ship software program updates to Huawei phones which use its Android running gadget through to August 19.

"Keeping phones up to date and cozy is in everyone's fine pursuits and this temporary license permits us to keep to provide software updates and security patches to existing models for the following 90 days," a Google spokesperson instructed CNBC in an email on Tuesday.

A spokesperson for Huawei declined to remark when contacted through CNBC.
